1
ואמר דוד דין הוא אתרא דכשר למתבנאה תמן בית מקדשא דיי ודין מדבחא דכשר לעלתא לדבית ישראל:
yshral ldbyth leltha dkshr mdbkha wdyn dyy mqdsha byth thmn lmthbnah dkshr athra hwa dyn dwd wamr
Then David said, “This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

ואמר דוד למכנש ית גיוריא די בארעא דישראל ואקים פסלין למפסל אבנין פסילן למבני בית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha byth lmbny psyln abnyn lmpsl pslyn waqym dyshral barea dy gywrya yth lmknsh dwd wamr
David gave orders to gather together the foreigners who were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to cut dressed stones to build God’s house.

ופרזלא סגי למסמרין לדשי תרעיא ללפפא אתקן דוד ונחשא לסוגעא עד דלא אפשר למתקל:
lmthql apshr dla ed lswgea wnkhsha dwd athqn llppa threya ldshy lmsmryn sgy wprzla
David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates and for the couplings, and bronze in abundance without weight,

וקיסי ארזיא עד דלית מנין ארום איתיאו ציודנאי וצוראי קיסי ארזיא לסוגעא לדוד:
ldwd lswgea arzya qysy wtswray tsywdnay aythyaw arwm mnyn dlyth ed arzya wqysy
and cedar trees without number, for the Sidonians and the people of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.

ואמר דוד שלמה ברי רובי ורכיך ובית מקדשא למבני לשמא דיי חסין לאסגאה לעלא לשמא דיי ולתשבחא לכל ארעתא איתקן כדון ליה ותקין דוד לסוגעא קדם מותיה:
mwthyh qdm lswgea dwd wthqyn lyh kdwn aythqn aretha lkl wlthshbkha dyy lshma lela lasgah khsyn dyy lshma lmbny mqdsha wbyth wrkyk rwby bry shlmh dwd wamr
David said, “Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Yahweh must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it.” So David prepared abundantly before his death.

וקרא לשלמה בריה ופקדיה למבני בית מקדשא לשמא דיי אלהא דישראל:
dyshral alha dyy lshma mqdsha byth lmbny wpqdyh bryh lshlmh wqra
Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.

ואמר דוד לשלמה ברי אנא הוה עם לבבי למבני בית מקדשא לשמא דיי אלהי:
alhy dyy lshma mqdsha byth lmbny lbby em hwh ana bry lshlmh dwd wamr
David said to Solomon his son, “As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of Yahweh my God.

והוה עלי פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי למימר אדמא לסוגעא אשדיתא וקרבין רברבן עבדתא לא אפשר לך למבני בית מקדשא לשמי ארום אדמין סגיעין אשדיתא על ארעא קדמי:
qdmy area el ashdytha sgyeyn admyn arwm lshmy mqdsha byth lmbny lk apshr la ebdtha rbrbn wqrbyn ashdytha lswgea adma lmymr yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm ely whwh
But Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, ‘You have shed blood abundantly and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.

הא בר אתיליד לך הוא יהא גברא ניחא ואניח ליה מכל בעלי דבבוי מן חזור חזור ארום שלמה יהי שמיה ושלמא ושדוכא אתן על ישראל ביומוהי:
bywmwhy yshral el athn wshdwka wshlma shmyh yhy shlmh arwm khzwr khzwr mn dbbwy bely mkl lyh wanykh nykha gbra yha hwa lk athylyd br ha
Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of peace. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

הוא יבני בית מקדשא לשמי והוא יהי חביב קדמי כברא ואנא ארחים ליה הי כאבא ואתקן כורסי מלכותיה על ישראל עד עלמא:
elma ed yshral el mlkwthyh kwrsy wathqn kaba hy lyh arkhym wana kbra qdmy khbyb yhy whwa lshmy mqdsha byth ybny hwa
He shall build a house for my name; and he will be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

וכדון ברי יהי מימרא דיי בסעדך ותצלח ותבני בית מקדשא דיי אלהך היכמה די מלל עלך:
elk mll dy hykmh alhk dyy mqdsha byth wthbny wthtslkh bsedk dyy mymra yhy bry wkdwn
Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.

ברך יתן לך יי סכלתנא וביונתא וימנינך למלכא על ישראל ולמנטר ית אוריתא דיי אלהך:
alhk dyy awrytha yth wlmnTr yshral el lmlka wymnynk wbywntha sklthna yy lk ythn brk
May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel, so that you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.

הא בכין תצלח אין תינטר למעבד ית קימא דיי וית דיניא די פקיד יי ית משה על ישראל תקף ואלם לא תדחל ולא תתבר:
ththbr wla thdkhl la walm thqp yshral el mshh yth yy pqyd dy dynya wyth dyy qyma yth lmebd thynTr ayn thtslkh bkyn ha
Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid and don’t be dismayed.

והא בסגופי ובצומי אתקנית לבית מקדשא דיי דהבא קנטרין מאה אלפין וכספא אלף אלפין קנטרין ולנחשא ולפרזלא לית מתקל ארום לסגעא הוה וקיסין ואבנין אתקנית ועלויהון תוסיף:
thwsyp welwyhwn athqnyth wabnyn wqysyn hwh lsgea arwm mthql lyth wlprzla wlnkhsha qnTryn alpyn alp wkspa alpyn mah qnTryn dhba dyy mqdsha lbyth athqnyth wbtswmy bsgwpy wha
Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for Yahweh’s house one hundred thousand talents of gold, one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron without weight; for it is in abundance. I have also prepared timber and stone; and you may add to them.

ועמך לסוגי עבדי עבידתא פסוליא ונגרי אבנא וקיסא וכל חכימא בכל עבידתא:
ebydtha bkl khkyma wkl wqysa abna wngry pswlya ebydtha ebdy lswgy wemk
There are also workmen with you in abundance—cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work;

לדהבא לכספא לנחשא ולפרזלא לית סכום ומנין קום ועביד ויהא מימרא דיי בסעדך:
bsedk dyy mymra wyha webyd qwm wmnyn skwm lyth wlprzla lnkhsha lkspa ldhba
of the gold, the silver, the bronze, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and may Yahweh be with you.”

ופקיד דוד לכל סרכי ישראל לסיעא לשלמה בריה:
bryh lshlmh lsyea yshral srky lkl dwd wpqyd
David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

הלא מימרא דיי אלהכון בסעדכון ויניח לכון מן חזור חזור ארום מסר בידי ית כל יתבי ארעא ואתכבישת ארעא קדם יי וקדם עמיה:
emyh wqdm yy qdm area wathkbyshth area ythby kl yth bydy msr arwm khzwr khzwr mn lkwn wynykh bsedkwn alhkwn dyy mymra hla
“Isn’t Yahweh your God with you? Hasn’t he given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh and before his people.

כדון הבו לבכון ונפשכון למתבע מן קדם יי אלהכון וקומו ובנו ית בית מקדשא דיי אלהכון לאעלא ית ארון קימא דיי ומאני קודשא דיי לביתא דמתבני לשמא דיי:
dyy lshma dmthbny lbytha dyy qwdsha wmany dyy qyma arwn yth laela alhkwn dyy mqdsha byth yth wbnw wqwmw alhkwn yy qdm mn lmthbe wnpshkwn lbkwn hbw kdwn
Now set your heart and your soul to follow Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built for Yahweh’s name.”
