ܘܐܡܪ ܕܘܝܕ ܕܗ̇ܢܘ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܗܢܐ ܗܘ ܡܕܒܚܐ ܕܥܠܘ̈ܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
w'mr dwyd dhnw bythh dmry' 'lh' whn' hw mdbkh' delwth' d'ysryl
Then David said, “This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܕܘܝܕ ܠܡܟܢܫܘ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܝܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܘ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܢܥܒܕܘܢ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܦܣܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܢܦܣܩܘܢ ܟܐܦ̈ܐ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
w'mr dwyd lmknshw lklhwn gywr' d'yth hww b're' d'ysryl wnebdwn mnhwn pswl' wnpsqwn k'p' lbythh dmry'
David gave orders to gather together the foreigners who were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to cut dressed stones to build God’s house.

ܘܠܡܥܒܕ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܩܝܢ̈ܝܐ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝ ܦܪܙܠܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܦܕ̈ܘܥܐ ܘܐܟܣ̈ܝܕܐ ܘܡܘܟ̈ܠܐ ܕܦܪܙܠܐ ܬܩܢ ܕܘܝܕ ܘܢܚܫܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗ ܡܬܩܠܐ
wlmebd mnhwn qyny' ebdy przl' lmebd pdwe' w'ksyd' wmwkl' dprzl' thqn dwyd wnkhsh' sgy'' dlyth lh mthql'
David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates and for the couplings, and bronze in abundance without weight,

ܘܩܝܣ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܙܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܬܝܘ ܨܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܘܨܝܕܢ̈ܝܐ ܩܝ̈ܣܐ ܕܐܪܙܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܛܒ ܠܕܘܝܕ
wqys' d'rz' dlyth lhwn mnyn' mTl d'ythyw tswry' wtsydny' qys' d'rz' swg'' dTb ldwyd
and cedar trees without number, for the Sidonians and the people of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.

ܘܐܡܪ ܕܘܝܕ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܪܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܗܫܐ ܛܠܝܐ ܗܘ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܘܥܠܘܗܝ ܗܘ ܐܡܝܪ ܒܟܬܒܐ ܕܢܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܕܢܘܪܒܝܘܗܝ ܠܥܠ ܠܫܡܐ ܘܠܪܒܘܬܐ ܘܠܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܠܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܕܝܢ̈ܬܐ ܐܛܝܒ ܠܗ ܐܢܐ ܟܘܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܬܒܥܐ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܚܝ̈ܝ ܘܛܝܒ ܕܘܝܕ ܟܘܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܡܬܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܠܒܝܬܐ ܘܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܚܣܪ
w'mr dwyd shlymwn bry edm' lhsh' Tly' hw zewr' welwhy hw 'myr bkthb' dnbn' byth' lmry' dnwrbywhy lel lshm' wlrbwth' wlthshbwkhth' lklhyn mdynth' 'Tyb lh 'n' kwl mdm dmthbe' lh mn khyy wTyb dwyd kwl mdm dmthbe' hw' lh lbyth' wmdm l' khsr
David said, “Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Yahweh must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it.” So David prepared abundantly before his death.

ܘܩܪܐ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܪܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܐܢܬ ܬܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
wqr' lshlymwn brh w'mr lh 'nth thbn' byth' lmry' 'lh' mr' mrwth' d'ysryl
Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.

ܡܛܠ ܕܫܕܪ ܥܠܝ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܢܒܝܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܕܡܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܫܕܬ ܘܩܐܪ̈ܣܐ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܐ ܥܒܕܬ ܐܢܬ ܠܐ ܬܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܠܫܡܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܕܡܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܫܕܬ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܩܕܡܝ
mTl dshdr ely b'yd' dnby' w'mr ly dm' sgy'' 'shdth wq'rs' rwrb' ebdth 'nth l' thbn' byth' lshmy mTl ddm' sgy'' 'shdth el 're' qdmy
But Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, ‘You have shed blood abundantly and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.

ܒܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܬܝܠܕ ܠܟ ܗܘ ܢܗܘܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܢܝܚܐ ܘܐܢܝܚ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܥܠܕܒܒ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܚܕܝܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܘܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܫܡܗ ܘܫܠܡܐ ܘܢܝܚܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܝܘܡ̈ܬܗ
br' dyn dmthyld lk hw nhw' gbr' dnykh' w'nykh lh mn klhwn beldbbwhy dkhdyryn lh wshlymwn nhw' shmh wshlm' wnykh' nhw' el klh 'ysryl bywmthh
Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of peace. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

ܘܗܘ ܢܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܠܫܡܝ ܘܗܘ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܝ ܐܝܟ ܒܪܐ ܘܐܢܐ ܐܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܐܝܟ ܐܒܐ ܘܐܬܩܢ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ
whw nbn' byth' lshmy whw nhw' ly 'yk br' w'n' 'hw' lh 'yk 'b' w'thqn kwrsy' dmlkwthh el 'ysryl lelm elmyn
He shall build a house for my name; and he will be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

ܘܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܒܪܝ ܢܗܘܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܡܟ ܘܬܟܫܪ ܘܬܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐ̇ܡܪ ܠܟ

Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.

ܘܗܘ ܢܬܠ ܠܟ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܢܒܝܘܬܐ ܘܢܦܩܕܟ ܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܬܛܪ ܢܡܘܣ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕܢܝ

May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel, so that you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܟܫܪ ܘܐܢ ܗܘ ܕܬܛܪ ܘܬܥܒܕ ܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܘܢܡܘ̈ܣܐ ܘܕܝ̣ܢ̈ܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܘܫܐ ܠܡܠܦܘ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܬܥܫܢ ܘܐܬܓܒܪ ܘܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ ܘܐܦܠܐ ܬܙܘܥ
whydyn thkshr w'n hw dthTr wthebd pwqdn' hlyn wnmws' wdyn' 'ykn' dpqd mry' lmwsh' lmlpw l'ysryl hydyn 'theshn w'thgbr wl' thdkhl w'pl' thzwe
Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid and don’t be dismayed.

ܘܟܠܡܕܡ ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܛܝܒܬ ܠܟ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܡܬܒܥܐ ܠܒܢܝܢܐ ܕܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܛܝܒܬ ܠܟ ܟܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܡܐܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܛܝܒܬ ܠܟ ܣܐܡܐ ܒܡܢܝܢܐ ܐܠܦ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܟܟܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܢܚܫܐ ܘܦܪܙܠܐ ܛܝܒܬ ܠܟ ܕܠܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܘܟܠ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܕܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܠܐ ܝ̇ܕܥܝܢ ܠܡܚܫܒ ܣܟܐ ܕܠܝܛܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܣܓܝ ܗܘ ܘܩܝ̈ܣܐ ܘܟܐܦ̈ܐ ܛܝܒܬ ܠܟ ܘܥܠܝܗܝܢ ܬܘܣܦ

Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for Yahweh’s house one hundred thousand talents of gold, one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron without weight; for it is in abundance. I have also prepared timber and stone; and you may add to them.

ܘܐܣܓܐ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝ ܥܒܝ̈ܕܬܐ ܦܣܘ̈ܠܐ ܘܐܪ̈ܕܟܠܐ ܘܢܓܪ̈ܐ ܕܩܝܣܐ
w'sg' ebdy ebydth' pswl' w'rdkl' wngr' dqys'
There are also workmen with you in abundance—cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work;

ܘܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝ ܕܗܒܐ ܘܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝ ܣܐܡܐ ܘܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝ ܢܚܫܐ ܘܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝ ܦܪܙܠܐ ܕܠܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܘܐܫܬܪܪ ܘܥܒ̣ܕ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܥܘܕܪܢܟ

of the gold, the silver, the bronze, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and may Yahweh be with you.”

ܘܦܩܕ ܕܘܝܕ ܠܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܩܫܝ̈ܫܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܥܕܪܘ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܪܝ

David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟܘܢ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܘܡܥܕܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܡܣܝܥ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܚܕܪ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܘܗܐ ܐܫܠܡ ܩܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܬܬܟܒܫ ܐܪܥܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܩܕܡ ܥܡܗ

“Isn’t Yahweh your God with you? Hasn’t he given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh and before his people.

ܘܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܐܬܩܢܘ ܠܒܟܘܢ ܘܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܠܡܨܠܝܘ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟܘܢ ܘܩܘܡܘ ܘܒܢܘ ܡܩܕܫܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܐܥܠܘ ܠܬܡܢ ܩܒܘܬܐ ܕܒܗ̇ ܣܝܡܐ ܕܝܬܩܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܘܡܐ̈ܢܝ ܩܘܕܫܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܘܒܢܘ ܒܝܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܫܡܗ ܪܒܐ ܕܐܬܩܪܝ ܥܠܝܢ

Now set your heart and your soul to follow Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built for Yahweh’s name.”
